15x8.5" Torq Thrust on 1970 Chevelle

Folks,

Has anyone tried to run the vintage 8.5" TTs (3.75" backspacing) on the back of a '70-72 Chevelle? How is the fit?

15x8.5 with L60

Awesome! Can you tell me the tire size?

I believe they’re L60-15 tires

They are l60 Pro Tracs, they will definilty not fit inside the fenders,I changed rear coils to lift it several inches

Thanks - do you get any rubbing on the wheel lips?

If you get something with a little more backspacing, you won't have any rubbing issues. I have 15 x 10 Centerlines on back of the 68 El Camino, and the outer sidewall doesn't even come close to rubbing even with 275 60 15 tires. I am guessing you already knew that; and were just wondering about 8.5 width with only 3.75 inches of BS.
