Look at this X77 Grill
On this auction car that was recently discussed in the classifieds, please tell me what I am seeing here towards the outer right side of the grill? I ask because this image has bugged me since I saw it a few weeks ago, and appears to have another painted piece of a grill wedged between the grill and the driver's side fender???
Is that a chunk of painted plastic grill inserted between the grill and the inside edge of the fender to fill in some gap or possibly a large void? I mean it's one of those Duffy's cars so it wouldn't surprise me. Opinions :dunno::dunno::dunno: https://i.ibb.co/3zrNd5j/s-l1600-3.jpg |
Right in picture , but traditionally referred to as left side of car.

Looks like a filler of sort on the LH side of the grill. Not to mention, a X77 wouldn't have trim on the headlight bezels...Joe

Looks like a reflection on the paint.
Doc. |
Yup..I shouldn't have said X77 as I don't really know if the car was an X33 or X77, just know that it has a standard or Non RS grill. And yes...the left side. (lol)

Repop Fender that the grill contour does not match the GM grill shape. (?)
Interesting Fix. |
Not a reflection. There is a filler, of some sort, between the grille and fender. The curvature does mimic the grill quite well too. Do you have a pic of the other side to compare ?

I thought it was a reflection also

definitely an offshore fender. i had to fit one that was just like that. took a bit of slicing a dicing to get the gap close up and make it look right. time is money i guess when you're headed to an auction....
