'68 Firebird, #s 350/4-sp, 38k Miles, Insane Color Combo
I have an Ivory on Black on Gold '68 Z/28 that is currently black on black, and I've thought from time to time about restoring it back to the original colors. This Firebird is the same Ivory with the same Gold interior color, and seeing the contrast here, I'm not so sure I want to do this to my Z. I do believe the black top would be an improvement over this car's VT - which I presume is gold or green?
What a strange color combination...the top color just pushes it into the 'weird' realm. Wow.....definitely not my cup of tea :eek2: VT looks green to me, but is that shade of green (or whatever) even an OEM VT color?

I love the weird colour combos!!

22K for that?
I think the 15k opening bid is more than the car is worth. |

I don't believe that's the correct color top on that car and I don't believe the mileage claim. The car has been repainted, the engine compartment is spray bombed, the interior is worn way too much, so it's not hard to believe the vinyl top has been redone and done so in the wrong color.
The pics below show the same color with a green top and also with a gold top. I think both make nice combos. |
I like it. Probably not 22k worth.

I agree - either the photo colors are way off, or they used an off-the-shelf vinyl color that didn't match the original. Never seen one that particular shade.

My friend had an RS with this color combo... although looked different than the Fbird pics.
I hated it. Jmo |
