I’m not aware of any black (TX9) ‘71 Cudas (smallblock or bigblock) that came with black (V6X) billboards, independent of interior color. Similarly, I don’t know of any white (GW3) ‘71 Cudas ordered with white (V6W) billboards. Not to say it wasn’t possible, pretty much anything is possible with these cars, and I have heard some rumors. But these 2 exterior/stripe combinations were specifically NOT recommended within the 1971 Plymouth Barracuda sales literature. To order either of these combos a customer would have had to do a lot of work in convincing Plymouth to accept the order, so if any do exist they would be very, very rare.

It is possible to find out how many Hemis were installed in 'Cudas, and it's possible to find out how many Barracudas were black, but it's not possible to find out a combination of such. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise doesn't know what he/she is talking about, or is playing with fuzzy numbers.
There are a few black Hemi'Cudas, including one that's two-tone with a white top. |

The below car was built for export. You can tell by the "I" to the right of the Upper Body Color*. "U" for the USA and "C" for Canada. Those are the three choices.
* TX9 = Upper Body Color/Vinyl Top Color/Convertible Top Color TX9 = Lower Body Color E55 = Engine |

It is a E65...not E55

The one I used to ride in often as a kid didn't have the billboards but did have a black vinyl top in addition to the black body and black interior and was a 4 speed shaker car. :D
