1969 Corvette 427 / 435 hp

I’m not very familiar with Corvettes, but this looks like a neat project that seller represents as “appears to be an original 427/435 car” and may be the original Can-Am White factory paint?
Was that nose stripe used as an RPO? This car looks a lot like the yellow ZL1 Corvette built in 1969. Would be a fun car to get running. If this doesn’t have the original motor and no docs, maybe someone should drop a ZL1 motor in it... and then hang on for dear life! https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F253896086321 |
----That ia a copy of the ZL1 stripe as noted in the 69 build manual. That's the 1st grey interior I have seen in a long, long time. Kinda cool!.....Bill S

I first thought the interior was black, but sun faded.

Cool car. Paperwork to show engine and transmission would be good.

1696 Corvette 424 / 435
trim 416 - Gunmetal
Paint 972 - Can-Am White Windshield frame by the Driver's side 'A" pilar look nasty under the weatherstrip, but by the pictures shown, I agree, looks like it could be original paint. I looked at a 1969 L-89 Corvette coupe in silver with Gunmetal leather with a TH-400 back in May. Cool / Rare car, but too much money for the work it needed. I believe the 68 - 72 Corvettes are going to surprise a lot of collectors as far as value in the next 3 - 5 years. especially the High Horsepower, Rare versions. Bill |
