Re: 1972 Motion Chevelle Article

Remember the Motion modified Chevelle in the thread here a few years back where the guy met up w/ Joel at a coffee shop to review his documents etc?.
I'm thinking it was a '72 but could've been a '71...on eBay then, maybe even a ragtop and perhaps modified by Motion in later years?.

1972 Motion Performance Chevelle Found

To the readers,

I happen to be the lucky owner of this 1972 Motion Performance Chevelle featured in this Cars magazine from April 1972. I recently purchased this car from the original owner after he purchased it 49 years ago from Motion Performance. This car has been missing from the public for many years as it was just started after 27 years in storage last week. The car has less than 7 thousand miles and has never been in any bad weather and it retains all the original paperwork including the Motion Bill of Sale, protect o plate and original receipts.

The prior owner who I know allowed me to purchase the car which is now currently undergoing a complete mechanical refresh as it will be restored back to the original condition and on the road in the Spring of 2021. It is my intent to honor the original owner for his years of care and to keep this car running as part of automotive history. I'm very lucky to be the current custodian of this car.

I wanted to let everyone know that this car is still around and will be back to its original glory soon!

Thanks

Congratulations and great to hear you plan to freshen it up and get it back out on the street. Curious what was the price for all of the upgrades by Motion. Looking forward to some pictures of the beast.

The price of the work at Motion was over 4000 dollars over the price of a standard 454 SS Chevelle.
