1970 Camaro SS396 - restored
|
I don't believe that this car was originally a SS 396 car. Most likely a clone by the trim tag.

Very pretty car and looks well put together, but what I see indicates it may not be an original L-34 car. Even so looks like a really nice car for the money.

Subtle updates since this 03/18 sale - VIN 124870N579808 http://www.usedcarsfsbo.com/asp/Item...=3%2F11%2F2018 :beers: ~ Pete . |
I believe this is the same car up for auction on the Bring-A-Trailer site. This site seems geared more towards European imports, so if it brings a big price over there I will be surprised.

… Looks like the same car... "The factory engine has reportedly been replaced with a 396ci big-block V8, which is mated to a 3-speed TH400 automatic transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction differential with 3.08:1 gearing." … |

Their reports may be wrong if last year's sale info correct and same engine still in the car...:hmmm: "...REBUILT 454 DRESSED AND DETAILED LIKE 396 FULLY REBUILT TURBO 400 FULLY REBUILT 12 BOLT POSI WITH 3.08..." :beers: ~ Pete . |
