Pristine '66 L-79 Chevy II, Black on Black, Former MCACN Showcar
Neat car - not sure why the consigning dealer raises doubt about the partial VIN - isn't this fairly typical of a '66 L-79 partial VIN? I'd be pissed if I were the consignor....

Wouldn’t you wipe the drop of oil off the oil pan before you took the pic?? That’s driving me nuts!!LOL

Gorgeous car though!!

My stuff leaks worse than that even when there's no oil in it. K |

Lots more use of the word CORRECT than INCORRECT in this description I like the word ORIGINAL myself. Especially when a price tag like that is attached

With several Pontiacs in my collection too, I can relate. Please forgive me for going off topic- but I just had to share: I have a 66 GTO in the shop under construction and in process. This car has a mocked up TriPower 4-speed drivetrain sitting in it. The engine in it is actually just a bare block- with no rotating assembly, and an empty oil pan. The damn thing leaks oil!! |
Maybe someone can correct me if i am wrong but...wouldn't there be an M21 Close Ratio trans in this if there were 3.73 gears?
