Really bad fire in Norcal

Over 70,000 acres burned since yesterday and spreading. Town of Paradise is virtually gone. Thousands of structures gone. News said possibly the fastest spreading fire in US history. This sucks. No idea on the amount of casualties.

Do they know how it started?

Mark Mitchell evacuated his family and stayed with his house. He's safe, so far....with fire all around.

We're saying prayers for those involved in this :(

Some reports indicate it started w/ an out of control campfire but I didn't see any confirming details.
Thoughts/prayers for Mark and his family also the Firefighters and others there in harm's way.

I heard they were evacuating with people driving behind a bulldozer that was pushing stopped cars off the road!

Hmm weird. Haven't seen anything on the news about it here. Even more strange, we still have family that live in Sac and they haven't mentioned anything either. When did it start??

Bad stuff, was on the local and nightly news here last evening,

Charley Lillard 11-09-2018 05:51 PM

Started yesterday am. One of the worst fires I have ever heard of. I'm outside of Sacramento and the sky is smoke and ash. Plenty of film on Facebook threads. Really horrible. Probably many animal and people lives lost.

We have family we visit in Rio Linda just a bit North of town. Maybe it will be on the news tonight.

So is it worse than the fires they had earlier this year in Southern Ca??
