Barn find from Hattiesburg! 1969 Z/28 - True Z (cowl tag in pictures) - always owned in the Hattiesburg area. It was drag raced much of its life and holds the national record @Hub City Dragway for running 1/4 mile in 11 seconds flat. It was stored in a barn from 1986-2013, at which time we purchased it from the widow of the second owner. It has a date coded 302 (original had been swapped for a 454 in the 80s). It also has a date coded Muncie 4 speed and the original 12 bolt rear end. Roller cam, aluminum bow tie heads, new wiring, new trunk, and new floors. Installed cowl hood but have an original GM hood as well. Apart from the hood all exterior parts are original, and the paint is original - the car has never been painted. Plenty more info to share. $39,000 OBO Less

Well, to be fair, the grille looks like its been replaced, as it is not painted body color. I would say RS has been added at some point.

You think that Trim Tag is bogus? and the rivets?

Hotrodpaul 01-31-2019 12:00 PM

Tag looks real to me, although it may have been from another car. Need to see if the build sequence lines up with the VIN and if the color is original.
