confirming / authenticating 1969 Shelby wheels as genuine

Hi sYc Friends,
Wanting some input here - please review this information and the photos below and weigh in if these appear to be authentic; I have strong reason to believe so, but since I don't know much about Shelby cars, wanted some knowledgeable opinions, please. I believe these are aluminum pressed together with steel (chromed) hoops. And that there was a recall or some other event that caused them to later be riveted together... Three of the rims show no rivets, while the fourth does. Some show what I believe to be stress cracks, which, I was told, led to the "recall" if that's the correct term or update, to rivets, if not. They are 15x7 - and of course, 5 on 4.5 No KH or K-H or Kelsey Hayes (I'm not sure of the OEM actually) stylized logo that I can find, no inked dates, but there is a stenciled inking shown - not sure what it means, one wheel, the riveted one, has "TOPY 4-68" (date?) and "7-*backwards J it looks like* 15". The other riveted three have "7-Lx15 3.5t" stamped on the backside. Not sure what to make of them really, I know they're being reproduced now, and likely have been for a while, but these clearly show a lot of age - were painted black on the back a long time ago, but don't show rust and seem to have been chromed on the bead surface / inside too... These have age. There's only three caps, and I'm not sure how to authenticate those either... Welcoming comments, thanks in advance. Anthony |

Hi-probably early press-fit 69 wheels, used before car #2000. Most later recalled for bad chamfer machining. (This is 1997 Shelby Registry info-hopefully still accurate). I don’t know about tells on the center caps, sorry

Thanks Tom!
