1964 Corvette Coupe Fuel Injected
I recently had purchased this 64 injected coupe. It's a lifelong southern CA car then spent the last 40+ years sitting at (or behind) a Corvette shop in Paramount, CA.
Obviously, it has seen better days. It is a wonderfully solid car. Unhit body, original black on black car, with most of it's original mechanical components (one cylinder head and rear diff, expansion tank, alternator, and starter have been replaced) These are some pics before I got it home......... https://i.imgur.com/biorQZR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vFAHEgc.jpg https://i.imgur.com/aC01wBX.jpg https://i.imgur.com/cnPafGq.jpg |
I've already done the brakes, and now I'm getting after the drivetrain to refresh that. I'll replace all of the wiring, heater core, bushings (as necessary), and then drive the crap out of this thing. I am not doing one cosmetic improvement! This may prove to be the most enjoyable car I have had:)

I love it. Congrats!

I put the correct 6.70-15's on the car for the "look". Pulled the fuel unit to send that out for rebuilding and hot testing before I screw that on a fresh rebuild......

Congratulations, what an awesome car!!!!

I continue to be amazed at what is still out there. Glad to see it end up in good hands.

Looks like a great project, looking forward to seeing the progress on this one.

Amazing. Guy here in town has a 64 FI coupe he bought new.

Love it Tim-congrats!!:headbang:
I wonder-Could this be the same car that was in a fenced area off of Valley View Rd in Stanton, Ca. 1978-79? I worked in high school as a night delivery manager for the Orange County Register newspaper from 2am to 6am-and the building was right next door. The same guy also had a 1957 Belair Fuelie and some other cool cars. Hmmm... |
----Great find! Was the car ordered with KO's? I noticed one pic with a rally wheel. I also saw what appears to be the original 375hp decal on the valve cover. Amazing that it has survived. Do you think you can bring the paint back at all?......Bill S
