Red-Red LS6 Conv- It Doesn't Get Much Better
5 Attachment(s)
With help from members of this site I procured a red-red LS6 convertible for a friend who had been searching for years. I had located a few automatics, wrong drivetrain, and so-so color cars, but the car had to have it all. In addition it checked off all the have-to items: orig drivetrain, 4spd, 410 axle, cowl induction & docs. In addition this car is as rust free as they come, with only 42k miles and purchased from the previous owner of 43 years (1975). This is a Reedman Chevrolet car as well.
They are still out there........ |
Now that is a PINNACLE car with all of the right boxes checked! Was this a "known" car. Did Rick "the guru" Nelson know about it?

This was an unknown car prior to 6 months ago. I had been tip off prior to Rick, but his help was critical. The owner put the word out to another member as well. |
Very nice.

Some additional photos. Congrats to the new owner. I am sure it will be one of if not the finest after restoration. Tough to beat Red/red especially when the roof goes down.

Nice - thanks Rick. How did this car stay off of the radar? It appears to be very driveable and must have been "out and about".

You'll notice there are no fender emblems. The second owner repainted the car in 78ish and installed NOS fenders. I believe he said he noticed some rust starting down low on passenger fender, so he replaced both and never installed emblems. He did provide NOS emblems....
