1969 Argent Silver paint code

Anyone know the correct paint code for the 69 rally wheel color Argent Silver? Also, when the wheels were painted, was the semi gloss backside masked off before the front was painted silver to prevent the silver paint from blowing through the bolt holes and slots?

Of the few I have seen,I have noticed some blow through on the back so it is likely they didn't mask them all completely off when applying the Argent curbside.
The original 1969 Argent Silver wheel paint code was Lucite #9562L.
Many restoration houses carry this color in stock. One of our Sponsors like D&R Classic for one.. ARGENT SILVER RALLYE WHEEL PAINT

In case you're interested, this is what JohnZ wrote over on team Camaro in response to the question regarding the original wheel painting process...

The steel wheels were received raw in rail cars, and sent through a hot cleaning and iron phosphating system, then dip-primed or flow-coated with black primer and baked. Then they they were mounted on spinning hubs on racks (5 wheels to a rack) on a conveyor and the outer face of the wheel was sprayed with gloss wheel enamel, and they were baked again. From there they were conveyed to the tire mounting and balancing system. Only the outer face of the wheel had body color on it.

PPG 8568 or OMNI MTK-8568, some PPG paint stores can still mix lacquer, bur acrylic enamel is OK too.

The PPG color is very close; be sure to do a spray-out card or test panel to see if you're happy with the gloss. You might want to tweak it with flattening agent depending on what you're looking for.

Good luck. BCD.
