Incredible, too bad he wants $50K for it.

Re: ZL-1 Bike
Foolish design aside, the block casting indicates this is a indeed a Can-Am piece as stated although not a 427 and actually the 70-71 4.5" bore 509 CID!!!
This engine really belongs w/ a McLaren or other Can-Am vintage race piece it's correct for...or may have originally come from?. Depending on what the other castings and included parts are, considering the values of these Can-Am cars now it may not even be a bad deal?. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif ~ Pete |
Re: ZL-1 Bike
I think you would probably need asbestos pants to ride this monster! The fact that it has a rear view mirror cracks me up . . . like someone would actually be coming up behind you! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

Re: ZL-1 Bike
Can you imagine how bad the smell of burnt hair would be after a backfire? Not to mention if you HAD (no pun intended) facial hair.

Re: ZL-1 Bike
Even w/ a lesser torque engine, it's that chain flying off the bike taking you or if 'lucky' just your leg w/ it that I'd be most concerned about!.

Re: ZL-1 Bike
Recall a bike looking a lot like that one - upright, ape bars, transverse blown big block - eating it pretty hard at the Grove circa late '70's early '80's.

ZL-1 aside, anyone with enough guts to ride that beast gets my vote for brave..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif
