Coverage of the Milwaukee Masterpiece
Sorry this took so long.
A great group of guys from this site participated in the Concours De'Elegance at the Milwaukee Masterpiece in Wi on Aug 24th. I have pics of some of the event. It was a tremendous event in a beautiful setting, with thoughtful amenities for the participants. This included, sturdy cabanas for every class as well as a VIP area with complimentary food and drink. My wife said she would do it again in a heartbeat.....I agree. My thanks to Colin for involving us in a first class event! Here are some of the shots I took Colin's class winning GTO [image]http://media5.dropshots.com/photos/5...824/121712.jpg[/image] Tex's fresh 68 Z28 (restored by Legendary!) Tex also grabbed a ribbon and platter for his car in our class. This car was stunning! Re: Coverage of the Milwaukee Masterpiece
A friend of mine from Manitowoc usually sends his Deusenberg or his 1919 Pierce-Arrow Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle car to this show. I never really found these "big cars" to be interesting until he showed me his collection and told me the story behind each of his cars...each one of these "big cars" has a unique story to them...much like many Supercars...and my heart is still with the Supercars!

Re: Coverage of the Milwaukee Masterpiece
I should re-mention, congrats to Mike G. for winning the Supercar class. Also the other Supercar cronies with cars, Tom Clary (427 Yenko Nova), Pete Gerling (69 Yenko Camaro)and Colin(68 Yenko Camaro).

Re: Coverage of the Milwaukee Masterpiece
John, thanks for your kind words and the great pics. And thanks to Colin for getting our class of cars into a really spectacular show! Walking around all the Auburns, Cords, Duesenbergs, Pierce-Arrows and V-16 Caddies, I sort of felt like the guy in jeans at a black-tie affair. Tex T.
