Pontiac Day in Sweden
Yesterday there was "All Pontiac Day" at a castle outside of Stockholm. Weather was perfect and some 125 Pontiacs showed up and a 100 "other cars" that had to park in a special area.
We have a lot of nicelly restored cars, mostly GTO's and Firebirds from the Musclecar years but also some really nice ones from pre '65 years. http://www.protouring.se/files/pontiac_day.jpg some of the GTO's, the one in the third row, a silver one, was sold new, it has a 400 RAM III engine and a lot of options. http://www.protouring.se/files/firebirds.jpg Some nice Firebirds, the Trans AM is a true car, same owner since 1976 when it came to Sweden. Super condition! Jan |

Re: Pontiac Day in Sweden
OK here are some more
http://www.protouring.se/files/p_70gto.jpg http://www.protouring.se/files/p_400ram3.jpg Closer image on that silver GTO sold new over here. http://www.protouring.se/files/p_transam.jpg One of many 2gen Trans Am's, they were really popular back in the late seventies and got called "Pizza Racers". That was because every owner of a pizzastore in Stockholm got one. Sadly nobody else wanted them because of that at that time. http://www.protouring.se/files/p_tripower.jpg A 1965 GTO sold new in Sweden with TriPower setup. Lots of options on this one. Back then the GTO's and many other US-cars was considered luxury and they consequently was heavy optioned. http://www.protouring.se/files/p_vent.jpg Jan |
