copo question
engine block is cast with Casting 3963512 and there is the letter T cast in front of the casting number,am i correct in thinking the letter T stands for a truck engine.
thanks |
Re: copo question
That letter "T" stood for Tonawanda,New York.It was one of the few plants casting engines & related parts for ALL Chevrolet vehicles back then.
If your engine was intended for a Truck application on the assembly line,it's engine code prefix, stamped into the machined broached stamping pad behind the alternator, will begin with the letter T...as in TJS. |
