71 GS 455 two engine codes
Hi
Just picked up a new project car 71 GS 455 coupe. made in Flint Michigan and exported to Canada. I have the option sheet from GM of Canada Vintage vehicle services. I see L74 which is straight forward. the one I am not sure of is WE4 GS 455 , they both state 455 engine . why the two codes. thanks Al https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/71GS4551.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/71GS4552.jpg |

Sounds like a cool car!.
Isn't the WE4 the trim package that gives you the GS455 emblems etc?. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif ~ Pete |
Re: 71 GS 455 two engine codes
WE4 is the GS455 package. L74 is which engine goes in that package.
I don't know that both options would have actually shown up on the window sticker. The Canadian docs often break apart options that are included with other options. |

The group that included the options and the options of the group broken out separately by RPO #. |
