sound insulation
I'm restoring my 67 Caprice and this car is going to be a driver.I've done the roof and floorpans in "dynamat"in order to keep heat and mostly noise out of interior.Has anybody used an expanding foam product in the tight confines of the A and C pillars. There are plenty of products for the home but nobody can find any for automotive use or wheather the home ones are compatable.I'm sure I've seen a product in newer high end SUV's.Any suggestions out there?

Re: sound insulation
Be careful with that expanding foam...if you do use it, make sure you either "use semi-expanding" or "there's a way for it to relieve pressure"...we've used it in carpentry work and that foam can move stuff around if you're not careful! Lots of pressure when it starts doing it's thing...oh, and try and keep it off your hands!

Re: sound insulation
I've used the home stuff many times and it comes in minimum, regular and maximum expansion types(I always used the minimum)but can it be used in an automotive application?Nobody can answer that question.
