A real shame
 

Loved her like you would not believe. Pepper lived to be 16 years and 8 months. She was put down tonight in our home by our vet. Very hard time tonight.

My condolences also, Greg. Look on the bright side....if you had almost 17 yrs with a Dalmatian, you were blessed indeed!

Thanks Bill and everyone. The world record is 17 years and Pepper came close. She could have made it I am sure but she had bad hip dysplasia and could not walk. We were having to carry her outside every 2-3 hours to relieve herself. I know that she was uncomfortable. She slept at our feet and we were not getting much sleep over the last 6 months. It was love that kept her going on both sides.

One of the worst days of my life was when we had to put our Golden Retriever and our cat down. The Golden was 14 and the cat was 15. Both went at the same time.
