I'm guessing that would fit a NORWOOD 01C 70 Camaro SS L-78.

Assy in Tonawanda, date Nov 1969, as a CKO. Block Cast Oct 69

I will suggest that you should put your info before the 70 L-78 Camaro enthusiasts/owners at www.nastyz28.com in the ORIGINAL forum.

I thought all '70 L78 VINs were stamped on the rough area by the oil filter near the bellhousing flange?

Well then, it seems the only thing consistent about Chevrolet Division production procedures is the inconsistency in their production procedures; seems there is an exception to every "rule". Just like my 70 L78 Camaro block, the assembly info and suffix code are stamped on the right side of the pad but this placement was discontinued, according to Colvin, in 1965.
