A/C repair recommendation
I am looking to have someone look over the entire A/C unit out of my '68 442. It is currently out of the car, so testing it is no problem. Thing is, I'd like to retain its originality, so if repairs need to be made, I'd like the right person for the job. If possible, it'd be great if this person/shop was in the Phoenix area so I don't have to ship it.
Thanks for the help! |
Re: A/C repair recommendation
I think to test the A/C system it has to be in the car and hooked up (pressurized?). They then pull a vacuum and check to see if it leaks down(so to speak)
Anyways....there is a great place here in Phoenix... http://www.ackits.com/ They definitely know what they are doing. |

Re: A/C repair recommendation
Bruce & Charley, thanks for recommending Mark at Vintage Iron. He actually recommended me to a shop that he uses and talked to me quite a bit about what to do. He was very helpful and a really nice guy.
I told him you guys told me to call him and bug him about it and he started laughing. haha. |
