Re: Today's the end of GM Oshawa Truck production
My wife and I were there today to see the last truck come off the line. Not a fun time. However, there was a compound full of 2010 Camaros sitting across the road. I was also told today that the new Camaro flex line will be building the Equinox and one other vehicle as well. We can always hope that things get better. http://rides.webshots.com/album/572065527ajvsFG

A very sad day yesterday indeed. I was always proud of that truck plant. ALmost 50 years building trucks coming to an end. Sad indeed..........

Re: Today's the end of GM Oshawa Truck production
I heard that in the latest corporate audit, Oshawa was number one. Guess who was at the bottom.....the Mexican plant which will still be running. I also heard that the Mexicans took a huge wage cut to less than $3 per hour. Somehow I don't think that GM has learned their lessons on what happens when quality doesn't count. Remember the cars of the '80s.

GM will also increase China operations. Think: Less than $3/hour labor. Even three-dollar Mexicans cost too much.
