WHEN I SAY I'M BROKE...I'M BROKE!!
Yesterday I answered a knock on the door, only to be confronted by a
Well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner.

'Good morning,' said the young man. 'If I could take a couple of
Minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in
High-powered vacuum cleaners.'

'Go away!' I said. 'I haven't got any money!', 'I'm broke!' and
Proceeded to close the door.

Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed
Wide open. 'Don't be too hasty!' he said. 'Not until you have at least
Seen my demonstration.' And with that, he emptied a bucket of
Horse manure onto my hallway carpet.
'If this vacuum cleaner does not remove all traces of this horse manure
From your carpet, Madam, I will personally eat the remainder.'

I stepped back and said, 'Well I hope you've got a f*****g good
Appetite, because they cut off my electricity this morning.
What part of broke do you not understand?'

Reminds me of the Kirby saleman. He sold my mother in law and her sister Kirbys. The sad part is they lived together and only had one 12X15 area rug in the living room. Happy to say that this happened before I was the son in law as it would not have happened if I was already family. Then I had another Kirby guy come some years later to try to sell her the new and improved model and I told him NO THANKS instead of talking to me he told my mother in law he would leave it there and come see her the next day. I told him if he left it, i would place it and the attacments out on the curb and that he was not to leave any of his stuff there and was not to come back. He said I couldnt do that since it was his property. Well he left it and it lasted all of about 2 hours on the curb before someone found a NEW kirby on the street. Oh well

Good one Sam,
The kirby story reminds me of my BIL, Gordie. The knucklehead was home alone one day waiting for a knock on the door. The door bell rang, he answers and the guy at the door tells him he wants to demonstrate a "Kirby", and may he come inside. Gordie says "no come on around to the back gate and i'll let you in". Well the guy goes out to his car and brings in the box. Sets up the kirby on the back porch. Gordie says he looks in shock that the guy had pulled out a Kirby vacuum cleaner. WTF?? I thought you said Curbing!! Seems Gordie was home alone that day, waiting for a Contractor to come by and give him a quote for "Curbing" around his pool. He bought the damn kirby and had gotten his quote later that day for curbing.
Moral of the story. If your sister introduces the family to a guy named Goride. Remember this story.
