Darner Chrysler/Jeep RIP

Darner Chrysler/Jeep, a dealer in Mesa, AZ which was used in the movie Used Cars is closing. I never knew that until a co-worker told me yesterday when he picked it out of the list of dealers losing their franchise. Here's some info from Wikpedia:

Production Notes
The movie was filmed at the working Darner Chrysler-Plymouth dealership in Mesa, Arizona. The actual dealership served as the setting for "Roy L. Fuchs Pre-owned Automobiles", while a vacant lot across the street served as the setting for "New Deal Used Cars".
Kurt Russell produced some commercials for Darner's inviting customers to come in and shop while the movie was still being filmed.

I heard this too. Been around for years. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif

The only Max Wedge Savoy delivered to AZ in '62 went to Darner. Light blue, 3 spd HD manual. I have talked to the salesman who showcased it at Bee Line (and the streets) and I know where its engine, factory headers, and tranny are!

Chuck, Rob posted this listing in another thread. When you open it up theres a box marked "FIND" type in a city/State or zip code and hit enter and it will go to those dealers in the one you entered. I noticed that if you go with WA you have to keep hitting next to let it scroll down through some of the dealers since it didnt only select WA as a state but also WA in Washington which it seems to have more than a few cities named as such

Type in WA and hit enter, as soon as you do that two pages with left and right arrows come up to the right of the FIND box. You will also notice the first WA highlighted in blue. To go to the next WA hit the page with the right arrow.

ALL words with wa in them will show up but keep hitting the R/Arrow and it will go to the next one. Can also be moved by hitting the enter key and it will move down the list as well
