https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif Looks like "SS", but in Germany that may not indicate 'Super Sport'. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif
Those didn't happen to come from a WW II tank did they? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif |

Re: What type of screws are that?
Ok... we´ve got it...
You can see 3 lines. That´s the strength limit. And the SS is the Manufacturer https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif schrauben-normen.de/amerikanisch |
Re: What type of screws are that?
The 3 radial lines on the head indictate a SAE J-429 grade of 5.1. You're correct about the SS being the manufacturers head mark. The IFI or Industrial Fastener Institute logs those markings and sells the list to members. I have one somewhere but can find it.
