1971 Chevelle LS5 Original Paint Daytone Yellow..
 

This isnt mine and I havent seen it in person yet but I do know the guy.. Ive seen 70's that were Daytona Yellow but never a 71' and being its an original documented survivor I thought someone here might like it.

Buy before restoration - per the website. I hope not.

What a treasure the way it sits. A little clean up and detailing would be all that car needs - not a restoration.

Look at the paint on the wheels - is it just me or does everyone seems to get these way too dark when they get re-sprayed (my own included)

Is he calling it code 51 Daytona Yellow or are you?
That looks like the slightly darker 1970 released Sunflower Yellow to me.Chevrolet released code 52 Sunflower Yellow during the Spring of 1970,and painted a few vehicles that easily RPO'd color.
They carried it over again into 1971 as an easily obtainable RPO for many,& made it a Corvette only color during 1972.
Good looking car.

I was saying Daytona Yellow.. Just looked that way to me maybe it is sunflower.. either way Ive never seen a 71' that color.

Bruce I bought a cart this summer.. so Im ready for ya! and Im thinking of shipping a couple of cars out AZ you wanna be my care taker??

There is a local guy here with a 70 Chevelle 307 Conv survivor with original Hugger Orange/Monaco Orange special order paint... white guts very nice original car...
