Unusual Mopar pump

I just acquired what I think is a very unusual fuel pump.

Anyone seen one like this before. It is dated 10/69

Twin dampers are a little stange. As I understood it form a conversation I had with the fellow who was the lead engineer on these, the damper helped to even out the pulses on the discharge side. By doing this, it would sync the pumps and increase flow by about 30%.

What I think I am seeing there is the damper being threaded into the port sometimes machined for the adjustable regulator option. My concern with that is that the twin dampers without any reference to the other would probably be a little "unpredictable" and the pump performance may not be consistant.

Do you know any history on these pumps? Not asking about he origin of the Mopar offering, but specifically where these ones came from and how they were used in the past.

Looks like MOPAR's version of the Dupree/Walbro pumps (as seen in this thread.)

I've seen several instances where both MOPAR and Ford have labeled aftermarket parts under their own badging. (I still have an old Zemco e.t. computer that was marketed under both Ford Motorsports and MOPAR Performance, just with their own respective stickers/decals on them)
