http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w.../linelock2.jpg Here is one I've got from Sears circa 1971- that's the receipt next to it. Notice the super rare chrome tape used to hide the wire. |

This is the same line loc as seen here on Ken Barnharts car. My pop's 67 Nova has an older style which actually has a black cast iron valve section. I can't fine one of my pics of it, so I'll have to take another. I un unclear when the trasnsition between these two early ones occured. Can anyone recall? How about when the ones pictured here were replaced with the current offering? |

How authentic would you like it to be? I bet you could buy a new style from Hurst if you called them. It would be pretty close and of all the day 2 items to worry about, this would not be too high for me. |
Re: Hurst line locks
Or you could buy that kit and find an old brake valve like this one. Clean it up and use it https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif. I am pretty sure that racers improvised back then just like they do now.... I know I always have. I know a guy that built a spare engine in the back of a pickup truck on the way to the track...
