original vs "NOS" Z/28 oil pans

I seem to be somewhat challenged technologically speaking, and have a really difficult time getting pics to post on this site, so I will just link the the comparison that I did over at team camaro:

No doubt some of you will have additional info, so feel free to supplement.

The over the counter ones require the "fatter" gasket, for 1975 or 1976 and newer oil pans. The original ones use the "thinner" gasket. I just went thru this education process the hard way, had to drop the pan twice before I figured it out. The forward end is a little taller on the over the counter, later pans. They have different part numbers also.

The one currently available is part number 360450. I believe the only difference between that one and the part number of, say five years ago (have it at home) is that one was spray painted, the other dipped. I have compared those two pans and could find no other difference.
