RM Auctions buys troubled Kruse Auction Park

Just an FYI, I know we were talking about Kruse's financial troubles a while back....

Interesting story. Quote from that story:
"Kruse appeared to have been in trouble since last year..."

That's laughable....Kruse's troubles go a LOT farther back than last year. I can think back a number of years ago when they "sold" the business to eBay and then subsequently became disassociated with them; when their advance promo literature became consistently riddled with errors; when a substantial number of their staff seemed to have little to no knowledge of the vintage automobile hobby. At one point, they were the cream of the crop, and now they've run their good name into the ground. Sad.

Although I have not had any personal experience with RM, they certainly appear to be a reputable and able auction company.

Although it is sad in a way that the Kruse "empire" has crumbled, it is good to see the facilities become the property of what I believe is a good company.

Bottom line is, if it is good for the hobby, (which I believe this is), it is good for all of us.

I wish RM luck and look forward to seeing bigger and better events being held at the Auburn site.
