Re: need some help 1970 ls6 camaro
Harrell did LS6 Camaro conversions (at least one street car) in 1970 so that is one place to start. There are some things that Harrell did to these cars that might fit his M.O. so list everything under the hood and lets see some photos of the engine compartment. He normally put decals on the valve covers and cowl area so look for them. Back in the 70's, most high performance dealers would do conversions for you depending on how much you wanted to spend so it could be just about anyone. Do you have any idea who the selling dealer was?

Re: need some help 1970 ls6 camaro
Don't I recall the green Harrell car being the advertised as 'one and only' 70 Harrell Camaro?? I believe a 72 454 recently was mentioned here also.....there was also the Motion 454 cars..but I assume that would be more obvious.

Re: need some help 1970 ls6 camaro
I could not find any information on a 'Heller Chevrolet' let alone find a 'Gilford' Connecticut. I did find a Mannix Family Chevrolet in 'Guilford Connecticut:
Article about what the Mannix family is going to use the property for: http://www.theday.com/article/20100520/N...mplate=zip06art "The 23,000 square foot former car dealership was built in 1968 and has been owned by Charles Mannix, Sr., a General Motors dealer for 41 years, since 1991, Mannix, Jr., said. Last year as the giant car manufacturer declared bankruptcy, General Motors closed 1,700 of its dealerships. The dealership tried to stay open as an independent, but it couldn't sustain itself, said Mannix, Jr." Perhaps someone on here has some additional information or you could contact the Mannix family and inquire about a 'Heller' Chevrolet. |

Kim,
I thought the car was advertised that way at some point. 'The one and only'...I was very interested in purchasing the car at one point...if only it was a stickkk... But my memory may be failing me....it would not be the first time.. Now that I think about it...You have another true?? Duh!! Max |
Re: need some help 1970 ls6 camaro

Yes it was when it left the factory with the 6 cylinder destine to end up with an old lady before Dick changed its future. |
