That is a nice to read online catalog and a bunch of nice cars. Not sure why I paid for a Barrett bidder pass.

That is the best presentation for an auction I have ever seen. The entire website format is very cool and easy to use.

barret jackson lost my respect.i was watching the buggatti video today.it was at 750 then 2 minutes later at 700 with no explanation of why bid was down 50k.too muck insider trading and trickery.a fool and his money soon part and mr jackson is great at finding them.those dark glasses from steve suck

So will people quit going to the sale at B/J or will they continue to go because it is televised and seems to be out there in the mainstream? Also does anyone think the prices may be down this year or just correct for the type of cars ?

Based on what I saw at auctions last year, great cars still bring great money. Mid-level cars are floundering and questionable cars are not very desirable. It seems most of the cars for sale are projects or cars that need restoration. These cars are attractive to the average guy because he doesn't have the cash to buy a complete car and he feels he can perform the restoration over time. Overall, things are very strange with many people in a holding mode.
With that said, Scottsdale always seems to buck every expectation and economic concern. So, I think prices will be consistent with last year. BJ needs to draw great cars. Their No Reserve approach is frightening for most sellers. JMO, Ed |

I was curious, so I did some looking, but correct me if I'm wrong.
R&S takes 10% from the buyer, and 10% from the seller. BJ takes 10% from the buyer, 8% from the seller. Mecum takes 6% from buyer, 6% from seller. |

How would/does B/J calm these fears? IMO all the really great cars with docs,history etc are bought and sold via private deals not under the glare of the auction lights. |

Mecum takes 4% if you go no reserve. I couldn't find a different rate on the R&S website. |
