Engine re-stamp gone to far?
I have not posted on here in about a year, in truth because i was pretty down on the hobby after the last car i sold had questions about the paperwork ( L78 Camaro) bought the car as a numbers matching car. When i went to sell it there was questions about the paperwork being faked. Sold the car for a big loss. I bought a LS5 Chevelle in Oct of 06 again, as a numbers car. Put it in my warehouse with my other cars and never drove it. Pull the car out 2 weeks ago to sell as i want to get into old school hotrods. Only to find out it to maybe a restamp! Bought the car from 'Badbowties" out of NJ, he has a few "Number matching" cars on Ebay now. The pic of the stamp is to big to post here. i would be happy to send it to anybody to post. Please take a look and tell me what you think.
thanks, Vince |
Re: Engine re-stamp gone to far?
I am happy to report that John of Badbowtiess has agreed to buy the car back. He informed me he did not know the car was not a number car. My faith in the hobby is restored.
Thanks, Vince |
Re: Engine re-stamp gone to far?
Vince what happened with the Camaro? If I remeber right that was a very nice car and we talked a couple of times about it when you had it for sale. E-mail me back at [email protected] if you like. Mark Sheppard

Glad to see it took less than an hour and four minutes to restore your faith in the hobby!
