Day 2 Girlfriend
I've owned this old 72 Corvette for over 20 years. A friend of mine and I built it back in the late 80s. It has over 134,000 miles on it. We pulled the original small block and built a new 4-bolt main 355 with Edelbrock heads, Comp Roller valve-train, MSD Ignition, Chevrolet nitride crank, J&E forged pistons, etc. It also has a complete Vette Brake & Products suspension, braking system and one piece fiberglass spring. Riding on 17" Wheel Vintiques Rally Wheels and Z rated BFGs.
Dennis helped me finish it back then and he was out last week so, we got it ready for some Springtime Cruisin'. Driving this car is like putting on an old pair of jeans! Re: Day 2 Girlfriend
What a great looking car and engine compartment! That;s what a Corvette engine is supposed to look like. About 25 years ago, I was driving down the highway alongside an Ontario Orange '71-2 Corvette as the sun was setting for the evening and for whatever reason, it really made that color look just spectacular. To this day when I see an Ontario Orange 'Vette, I think of that day!

Re: Day 2 Girlfriend
Ontario Orange was a great color. I painted a couple of motorcycles using that as a base color, ........... quite a few years ago!
Damned cool ride Ed!! |

Re: Day 2 Girlfriend
Thanks Guys! When I grew up, a guy across the street had an Ontario Orange 71 Vette. I used to watch him wax it every weekend. He never offered me a ride but asked me if I wanted to buy it when I was starting college. I couldn't afford it then but eventually bought this one. Here's a few more pics.
