Just a question out of curiousity; if you completely restore a car to this level does the fact that it has under 3,000 original miles even matter?

Car has been around. I believe it is Billy Hahn's old car that he restored. Was discussed here on the Site a couple years ago. If a car has 300,000 or 3,000 miles, a frame up cancels all that. Again that is MO because what is left of the 3,000 mile car or a million mile car after a complete frame off/up??

It appears the car was stored outside so it probably needed a restoration, especially if the pitting on the engine pad and damage to the trim tag are any indication of its pre-restoration condition. To me mileage is insignificant based on what was required to bring it back. Great provenance and nicely equipped.

I would MUCH rather have an ultra low mile restored 69Z than a 100k mile restored 69Z..especially when the photo docs and history of the car can be 100% documented by all the photos... and better yet, the original owner who is still around. I dont know how much more I would spend, but I would definitely pay more for this car....

..and the fact that this car grew up in the same neighborhood as me is even cooler yet!!!

I feel that the ZL-1 that I previously owned was worth more because the car was known by Camaro experts and enthusiasts since it was new, also the original owner title, never registered, ultra low mile status....

I put this car in the same category...even better since this car was never cut up to be a race car...

----Well Sam,,,I generally agree with statements like 3000 or 300,000 miles, and lots of times that statement is correct. Im not sure about this case (havent seen the car), but with documented low-mile cars in general too many things can skew the history. Yes the car has been partially restored and more, but I would put a lot of value in all the original stuff that was left. Original interior is worth a ton to me personally. No way to duplicate that. Original ball-joints as stated in the add (if the add is correct) are very cool, as well.
