Count down to SCR14.
On Friday at RT 66, the gate for the event will be Gate 11 on Route 53. That is the only gate you can enter on that is on Route 53. It is on the South end of the Drag Strip. For those drag racing, please give their car(s) a quick check while they are loading their trailers. Make sure your lug nuts are tight, battery is held down tightly, give all the rubber lines/hoses a quick check...and double throttle springs, a driveshaft loop for slick tire'd cars [although I've seen a 13 second car break a shaft on Polyglass before!], a catch can of some type...and remember, a helmet, long pants [no shorts], no tank tops/cut off shirts [t-shirts are fine], no open toe'd shoes. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but it's all simple stuff, so just be smart about it...and if something gets missed and you notice it at the track, just holler and I'll bet we can get it fixed, we're easy to work with! The track will have racing fuel for sale. Bring a fuel jug, as Gateway would not pimp it into your car because of some Illinois law. |

Gate 11 opens at 8:00am, Drag Racing is from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Just got back.......Dan will be posting pictures later.....What a turnout, great cars,great racing, and most "Importantly"......"Great People"......spent the day talking and meeting people that are regulars here that I have never met before..WOW!!!........Tom hit it out of the park with the new venue..........Congrat's to Tom and the Clary Family...Had a great conversation with COPO Pete and many others.....Had to leave early, but .....What a great day....Thanks again to all involved for being great "Car" Guy's
