"72 GS Conv.
Hey Guys and Gals,
I wasn't going to "JINX" myself and post anything before I actually acquired the car but "What the heck". Anyway,I'm pretty sure this week I'm getting a car I've been chasing for quite a long time. Down deep I'm really an Olds guy, however this car will be a welcomed addition to my garage. How about a 1972 Skylark GS conv. with 31 options, original Dark Chestnut (a Riviera "only" color) paint, un-touched and un-restored, with under 10,000 documented original miles! The current owner is 94 years young! I will receive the original window sticker along with some other pertinent docs and I contacted Sloan for their info. Presently, the car is in need of only a thorough hand-rub and polish, and some minor servicing and detailing. I will try to enhance my computer skills and share some pics after I take delivery. Until next time..... Dave. |

Sounds like a cool car. We have a Sandlewood Stage I Rag Top in inventory.

Re: "72 GS Conv.
Rare car! Is it a GS 350, 455, or Stage 1? At any rate, they didn't make many....

Re: "72 GS Conv.
Thanks for all the interest and encouraging comments! I'll keep you posted on my latest endeavor. You guys may or may not know this, but I also own (have for a little while now)a pretty neat Olds--a 1969 W-31 that was raced and sponsored in F/S and G/S as a new car by Anderson Olds in Baltimore, MD. That car is also a very low mileage(10800) and well documented example that I race and show from time to time. I am a long time employee of Anderson and my family has been there for a continuos three generations. If you are interested, look on Youtube (David Siltman Nostalgia) and see a shakedown day at Capitol Raceway; made a couple "EASY" passes with the new drivetrain. Maybe one of you who is better with the computer than I am, would (PLEASE) post a link to the video for others to enjoy. I feel honored to be invited to the MCACN show! If it doesn't fall in the same week as my yearly November Carribean Cruise I will try to join in the fun! P.S. My W-31 is slated for an article in Muscle Car Review early in 2012. Thanks again guys and until next time..... Dave.
