A humbling 9/11 experience with the '69 Camaro
On 9/11/2011, I was invited and attended a South Jersey Camaro show that highlighted the new Gen 5 Camaros at Bennett Chevrolet. Scott Settlemire of GM was in attendance. He's affectionally know as FBODFATHER on the Camaro5 Forum. What a true gentleman and the Ambassadore of the Camaro he is. We chatted about Gen 1's at length and even knew where Carl Schmidt Chevy was in Ohio where Bob Wagoner ordered the car. He was intrumental in the Camaro's production and to this day, his voice carries a "love affair" with all Camaros.
The morning started with a prayer and moment of silence, on this, the attack on US soil at the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and over the skys near Pittsburgh Pa. This really put into persepective the importance being a US citizen and the liberties and luxuries we enjoy. Below are a few pictures Jeff Jr took. I hope you like them. I took both Camaros and the 69 shared the showroom the American Pride Camaro. What an honor to participate with a car that represents our history. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...MG_1311web.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...MG_1330web.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...20webbed-1.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...MG_1308web.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...1237webbed.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r..._1299webbd.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...MG_1302web.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...1194webbed.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...04webbed-1.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...1231webbed.jpg |

Re: A humbling 9/11 experience with the '69 Camaro
Agreed. It's gotta be one of the meanest looking 69's out there especially with 427 power and Daytona Yellow paint. Stunning!

Thanks partners! From you guyz, I know the compliments are genuine.
Rick, if I ever was to do "tidy-up" on the 69, the car would come to your possession to handle!! Hey, I'm getting older and you MAY see it sooner then you think. The price has done sooooooo much better than the 401k and saving plans since 1984 thanks to the thieves on Wall Street..."Do I hear an opening bid of $200k?" LOLOL http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...1234webbed.jpg |
Re: A humbling 9/11 experience with the '69 Camaro
Boy, it'd be a shame to change anything on that Camaro.

Thanks Jeff. That would be great but you might never get it back. However, it would be in good hands..... |
