69 Camaro shifter date decode help..??

I probably read somewhere here before but figured it was easier to post here again 'cause I am terrible at searching the old posts.

69 Camaro shifter body with number.. 3138 on the front (of car)side of shifter

and numbers on what would be the driver side of car (side with the HURST COMP PLUS lettering... 10 7B3

Any ideas?? date code?? figured it would have a 9 in there somewhere...thanks..

Lots of info on dating Hurst shifters. The format may not be the same on yours, but it should get you in the ball park.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no date code on these hurst shifters, they were internal plant codes.
I have a few 69 shifters
68B3 18B4 29D32K 890432F

as far as the 3138 # It is not Camaro specific. It means it was a factory unit without the bolt stops.

Yes, according to Hurst, the shifter was never dated. They are just internal codes. The 3138 stamp was a part number for the shifter body itself.
