67 Camaro, 1979 Street Machine Nationals West

I attended the 1979 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals West at the Pomona Fairgrounds. While there, I saw this '67 Camaro which appeared to be an SS350 but tricked out with some Z28 equipment and wearing Minilite wheels. Definitely a road racer look rather than the usual drag race themed stuff you saw back then. Does anybody here know who owned this car back then and/or who might own it now? I'm curious if it still survives. Thanks.

T/A 50s all around! Loved that look.

There was one like this in the east bay (NorCal) that was Deepwater Blue, RS/SS 350 '67, lowered, 15x7 American 200 wheels, fat same-size tires all around and well set up underneath. Owner said he was trying to make it look like Smokey Yunick's Camaro.

that cowl plenum base is for a 68 z/28, note the indentation for the air pump.

I had two sets of those wheels.... and sold one of the sets.

Those are neat on those TransAm cars....

The car was attractive and well cared for. Looked like a fun toy. Was hoping it might still be around. It wasn't a Z or anything but pretty neat, nonetheless.
