Zone Demonstrator value

Would any of you consider a car to have any added value if it was shown to have been a Zone Demonstrator when new.

The car in question happens to be an LS6 Chevelle with some nice options.

I don't see any reason for it to be more valuable, maybe less, demo's usually had a lot of different people drive them, mostly bad drivers that couldn't afford an an LS6 Chevelle, but wanted to try one out. my opinion Rick.

Interesting history and fun to talk about, but that and $5 could buy a beer.

I think this car's demo status rates a few more $$$$

Demo cars might be worth more if they are new model year, but only because they were heavily optioned out for show to the public all the bells and whistles.

At CPX I worked for a former Chevy dealer. He had a yellow/yellow Z/28 demonstrator back in '69 and blew the engine. Shortly after the CE short block was installed it was rear-ended. Of course that was fixed. It was sold as a "demonstrator" April 1970.

In my experience back in the day HP demo cars often had the snot beat out of them by multiple drivers. Many later got a "haircut", fresh tires and were sold as "new."

Thorstads in madison had a Blue/ white top/ white interior LS6 convertible with a 4 speed as a "demo" for a while in 70'. My dad drove it before he bought his coupe. He beat the snot out of it like most people did.

Apposed to getting the snot beat out of them by a single driver!

The Misty Turquoise LS6 convert we restored a few years ago was also a demo car and not sold until mid year 1971 off the showroom floor. There are a LOT of demo cars out there. I beat my fair share of them as well.

I guess I still don't see any added value because of a demonstrator, today each car must stand on it's own.
