Reproduction Dana emblem
 

Saw this on ebay tonight. Crazy money for recreation emblems. I've seen the catalog reference, but are there any real cars which origially had these and are now missing them?

I can appreciate an solid effort put into making something that is hard to find and not really knocking this. Just looking to understand who the market for these is expected to be? Seems like the fellow(s) who advised this guy should have been able to put him in touch with potential buyers- but here it is on ebay.

A very poor reproduction. there are companies that can do better.

What makes you say that? Seems close, but the auction was for like thousands of dollars and that is what piqued my interest.

What are some of the better reproduction companies? Please PM me if you don't want to post it here. I'm not interested in making these, but have some idea for my own fun.

They were made using an original Dana set. They are exactly like the originals. Once finished they were compared to the original set that belong to an original 68 Dana 427 Camaro. Using pictures with lighting and angles that are different isn't a good way to judge. Very difficult and costly to produce.
