Monday marks the 50th anniversary of John Glenn's historical first orbital flight by a US astronaut...I remember watching the space launches on TV while in grade school...it was a big event, everything stopped and we were "glued to the tube" to see the rockets blast off. America could use some of that energy and excitement again...

Think that first orbital flight was done in a studio Tommy? Remember watching the Outer limits on TV in the mid 60's?
