Really? new world record
Wow: unreal ebay auction

Re: Really? new world record
Pretty sure I have one of the brown caps. It came on a transistor ignition set up I bought years ago for a 302.
Can't be THAT rare. |
Re: Really? new world record
Unless I'm going blind, that cap looks black. Black D309 caps (copper terminals) without the R were produced from 1958 thru about 1964-65. Brown D309 (with or without the R) caps were from around 1965 until 1974. Black D309R caps with copper terminals were in production from around the middle of 1974 till the end of production.
I'm not gonna hit that buy-it-now button..... |

Re: Really? new world record
We have three of the ZL1 distributors and caps and all three combined would not bring that kind of money!

Re: Really? new world record
It looks like a cheap way to advertise.

Re: Really? new world record
Sellers often have parts that they always list. If they are out of stock, they just raise the price so it doesn't get bid on, and they don't have to delete the listing.
May be the case here. |

Re: Really? new world record
They have a repro 4346 Holley carb for only $725.00. I'd think it would be worth at least 5K.....
