Rear Leaf Spring Decals

Would anyone know the correct placement of rear leaf spring decals on a '69 SS350 Camaro? I've seen pics with them in the front of the leaf springs but also seen pics with them in the back. Not sure where to put them. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Hello 69VN,

How do you feel today? Not to be a smart a##, but placement was random. These were probably stacked in piles. The right handed worker placed the front away from him on the pallet and the other worker did not. Or each guy just did it whatever way he felt. Then when the guy with the tape dispenser of labels came by he labeled them all on the end closest to him.

While there might be a preferred location, the reality is the they could be in either location.

Tech tip:
Having made dozens of different numbers spring tags, the one thing I have seen on all originals that most restorers forget, is to remember that these were made of tape on rolls. Use a tape dispenser to cut the ends off the tag. This gives the serrated edge found on all of the originals.

Greg
BTW I mostly put them to the front of the spring......
