Chevy High Perf Magazine 72 Nova
 

Hi guys,
On my last buying trip to the USA I bought a Yellow 72 Nova. It was a Chevy High Perf Magazine car & has a 350 F2 combo.I have found a magazine pix online possibly dated Jan 2004 or 2006, Im looking for dates and info so I can look for the magazines. It may have had flames on it at some stage also?! I dont know how many issues the car ran in, so if anyone has the magazine collection,Id like to know the years/months the car appeared if possible.cheers

Edit: The nova has a 350 F1 combo, not an F2!

S..I bought the car in SoCal,Yucaipa. The guy owned it for 4 or 5 years. He mentioned the magazine and was sending some 'stuff' to my shipper that is now in the car. I hope it incl something to ID the myth. Looks like the guy in the pix has my valve cover in his hand though!

July 06? I held on to it because I am partial to Yellow novas.

Pretty sure that's Bob's old car if it has the Vortech blower on it.

Yes S, it has the Vortech on it.
So what was the deal on this car? Did Chevy Hi-Perf build it or was it 'Bobs' car and used as a feature car for the magazine parts suppliers/sponsors?
I have no info on it at all, just what the seller told me. I also recall him saying the car came from AZ, but it has a CA blue plate on it?

I worked for Primedia in 2001 and 2002 when Bob owned the car. I know he did a series of stories with the car and upgraded the motor. IIRC he also did some sort of bodywork story with the car as well. Sorry I can't be of more help.
