What's most sad is the blurriness causes the real stuff to suffer in value.

I just send them a message and asked if the original paper work was required in order to make a copy.

Hopefully they require some sort of proof as to the car they are reproducing documents for, and not just making docs for someone over the phone, how many years have they been making these, i have never heard of them.

Because of guys like these protect-o-plates have almost become a worthless form of documentation unless you have some resent correspondence with the original owner. I’d never pay documented/numbers matching money for a car with a protect-o-plate ONLY.

Companys like this just increase the value of GM documented cars. Now we need some kind of kit that tests paper to tell you how old it is.I guess there is somewhere that you could send a build sheet to test it for age.The only problem would be getting a buyer to allow you to do this. Now you will need a "Documented build sheet" that comes with an age report.lol.

Re: One stop shopping for bogus Tags/Paper/Pop's etc

Mustang tags have been available for years.Building a '65 or '66 and want to change to a deluxe interior? a color change? four speed swap? rear end swap...it could all look original with a new data tag. Window sticker, order form, dealer papers...all reproduced and sold by any one of the 1,000's of Mustang vendors out there.Documenting one for sure is extremely difficult.
