Flashback 12/8/1968
Today, 44 years ago, original owner Bob Wagoner, or BWAG here on the forum, took delivery of the yellow 1969 L-78 SS Camaro....on his birthday! Instantly swapping out the L-78 for a L-72, he knows today after selling it in 1974, it is safe and sound with yes, triple the mileage on it (2078) and except for new Daytona yellow from 1984, is just how he sold it! Thanks Bob and Happy Birthday my friend.

Thanks for sharing that Picture, I really like the vintage shots.
Congrats to the orig owner & current caretaker. If you can I would like to read about the story on the Wheels and tires, back in the day Jim |
Re: Flashback 12/8/1968
The picture Jeff posted of the 69 was taken on the same day the car was dropped off at the dealership .The American wheels and Goodyear tires were off of the dealers Corvette for the winter. When we decided to drive the Camaro to put some miles on I found out the stock tires were too slippery . The Americans were just laying there in the parts department and looked like a better choice,so on they went.We put about 300 miles on it this way and then we took the car apart to get it ready to race .I never personally owned the car,in fact I dont think it was ever titled while in the dealers posession, but I had about 90% seat time on the race circuit and road trips in the "Dealers Toy".
